The project consisted of the construction of new laboratories (microbiology laboratories, in vitro culture laboratories, flow cytometory laboratories, HAEM laboratories, class 3 laboratories, general laboratories, DNA laboratories), 24 no. offices, kitchen, canteen, conference rooms, service facilities and specialist animal accommodation (2,400sqm). The existing foul network was re-routed from septic to pump station, including de-commissioning of redundant tanks.
The entrance and roadway was widened and site services relocated. A new drainage system was installed and all trees carefully removed from site. Car parking spaces, line marking and landscaping completed the works.
