Midland Construction operates throughout Ireland and it is promising that we are maintaining a strong presence in all four provinces. Our operations are sub-divided into 3 regions; Northern Region - Central Region - Southern Region.

Northern Region:

Works have commenced on a large education second level college in the North and the ambitious programme is being maintained. This project is due for completion in May 2011. Furthermore we have also commenced works on a new sports facility for a third level institute in the north-west. This project involves both natural and artificial playing surfaces, wind turbines and flood lighting.

Central Region:

Work has commenced on the Dunshaughlin Community College project which is due for completion by the end of August 2010. Works on a new catering facility for the Department of Defence in Co. Wicklow has commenced and procurement of the high specification catering equipment and mechanical installations are underway. Castleknock National School was handed over with zero defects, City Farm in Dublin Zoo was completed on schedule and the official opening to the public has been very successful. Redevelopment of Supervalu in Trim was completed on time and this was a significant achievement by the Design and Site Management Teams given that the store remained operational throughout the entire programme. The construction of a new second level school in Enniscorthy and the ongoing complex infrastructural works to facilitate the Dun Laoghaire Golf Course project are well underway and are performing well. Midland Construction have successfully completed the construction of a new design, build & finance project on Rochestown Avenue in South Dublin. Thanks to a sterling effort from the site management team, this high quality €18M development consisting of 82 apartments with detached mews (Keenan Lynch Architecture) was finished on time and to budget. Our ongoing presence in the pharmaceutical sector has augmented by the commencement of an extension to the existing Takeda plant in Grangecastle Pharmaceutical Park in West Dublin. Furthermore we have recently commenced operations on the new significant Animal Bioscience Centre in Leinster.

Southern Region:

St. Augustines College in Dungarvan has just been completed satisfactorily to all concerned. The €4M redevelopment of Fota Wildlife Park which is due for completion in November 2010 is well advanced and will be completed ahead of schedule. St. Mary's National School in Waterford despite its detailed phasing is on schedule for completion in September 2010.

General:

Recently we have competed for prestigious contracts in Trinity College, Intel, AIB and Clongowes Wood College, UCD, Institutes of Technology in Cork, Carlow and Waterford.  We continue to be flexible and very competitive in our tendering strategy and new contracts are being sourced.

We have been steadily involved in a wide variety of restoration and refurbishment contracts and due to our performance and experience in this sector we are now listed as an approved Conservation and Heritage Contractor as ratified by the Register of Heritage Contractors.
