Health & Safety Policy

Midland Construction recognises and complies with the regulations as set out and required by all current legislation. Midland Construction recognises the additional responsibilities when undertaking the role of Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS). The Company also recognises that methodical planning and efficient execution are directly associated with good safety management.

Objectives:

  • We have a Safety Statement, and a Health and Safety Plan for every site and we follow the provisions set out therein.

  • We co-ordinate the implementation of our safety plan to all site personnel and we subscribe to principles of prevention.

  • We organise co-operation between sub contractors on site with weekly site meetings and work to co-ordinate each sub-contractor.

  • We provide sub-contractors / suppliers with all relevant information.

  • We ensure the implementation of safe working procedures on site through involvement of our site managers, the managers of our subcontractors who are bound to comply with our Health and Safety Policy.

  • We have a Site Safety Representative on each site. This person is distinct from and in addition to our Safety Officer.

  • We prepare, compile and submit a Safety File for every project.

  • We ensure that all Construction Workers involved on our sites are certified and Registered under FAS Safe Pass.

  • We ensure that all Construction Workers where legally required are certified and registered under the FAS Construction Skills Scheme (CSCS) or an equivalent Programme recognised by FAS.


Midland Construction will ensure that constant management and review of each site with respect to our safety policy will aid the implementation of the Safety & Health Policy and its objectives. It is imperative that all our Employee’s acknowledge and actively apply the measures outlined herein. It is also imperative that the Company continually reviews the implementation of this policy and seeks to improve on it.
